Cobalt and Mauve: Ta-DA

There are several things I love about this post. First is the outfit, but we’ll get to that in just a minute. Second, the other elements that make me laugh are just cornball silliness– RANDOM– Ta-DA! poses, serious pursed lips, and a shot featuring me and a bird feeder.

Lest you think that this is all serious business over here, I call your attention to Ta-DA! I am executing said move in photo two. Some combination of “Check it out, ya’ll!!” and “How do you like me now!?” Right? Laugh. Out. Loud.

Don’t worry, my Capircornish seriousness takes over in the very next photo, back to business folks, we are serious about this blogging gig. Gotta pull it together and try to look presentable. The color in this short story comes from a long-held love affair. J.Crew, folks, I simply can’t get enough. That sentiment is about as original and cutting edge as starting a blog in 2015, but it had to be said. I wanted you to see how they styled up their look (below).

My version is obviously a tad different. Shorts are not going to fly here, kids. Gotta keep those legs covered! But the cobalt and dusty mauve combo is really doing it for me in terms of that almost-doesn’t-work but somehow elevates-each-other color love! So that’s today’s takeaway: you see a color story you like? Repeat it for yourself with your own wardrobe.

Tuesday is calling, she wants you to pull some contrast out of your closet!

Have a wonderful one!

XX, Megan
