Rugged Outerwear: My Favorite Patagonia Piece

DSC_0201DSC_0198 DSC_0208DSC_0203 Woweee! Cold and more cold! The cold is back with some snow flurries for us.

I’ve been following a friend’s trip to Disneyland and think we might need to schedule a hiatus there for next year at this time with the babes. However, not to fear! I’ve got the recipe for all of your winter dressing woes. Friends, meet the Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket.

Such a fantastic piece of outerwear. My husband and I both have one (matching black if you wondered, so cute!), and they are hands down our favorite, go-to, indispensable, most reached for item in our winter coat closet.I wear mine on the daily– carpool, errands, looking sleek but keeping warm for evening soirees! Perry wears his 24/7 as well– under his ski jacket, working on the Sprinter (our little converted camping van), shoveling snow.

We both have heavier winter options, but why? The range of temperature this baby can bear is wonderful! On a trip to San Francisco last year the temps were moderate, but board that ferry for Sausalito, CA and you immediately loose what? 10 degrees on the water? Insert Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket and the temperature swing is solved! Huge hearts for this!

Plus, did you know that Patagonia has a KILLER return policy. As in, if your coat breaks down of natural causes at ANY point in it’s life they will repair if for your or replace it! Example, Perry’s zipper gave out after 2+ years of having the jacket. He gave Patagonia a call, packed it up, sent it out. The Patagonia team emailed a few days later to let him know they were sending a new jacket his way. AWESOME customer service!

So ends my Patagonia soap-box talk! πŸ™‚

Have a rich Saturday!

XX, Megan
